Edmonds, WA — We love the start of the year for many reasons including the renewal of our intentions and choices so that we focus our attention so that we manifest outcomes that fulfill our lives. One of the events that catches our attention every year is International Coaching Week. And, this year we are partnering with our local ICF Chapter, the Puget Sound Coaches Association, to host a panel discussion with five highly satisfied coaching clients who will share their experience and the impact professional coach has had on their professional and personal lives. This is a not to be missed event! Please register at www.pugetsoundcoaches.org.
History of International Coaching Week (ICW) — This event is actually a weeklong global celebration of the coaching profession held annually, during the first full week in February. For 2011 it is the week of February 6-12. Originally founded in 1999 by ICF member Jerri N. Udelson, MCC, ICW is a designated time each year for coaches and clients to educate the general public about the value of working with a professional coach and to acknowledge the results and progress made through the coaching process. During this extended commemoration, coaches around the world offer a variety of activities and pro-bono services in their local communities to share what coaching has the ability to do. The International Coach Federation is a proud sponsor of ICW and encourages coaches all over the globe to participate by holding special events during the designated International Coaching Week.
Janet M. Harvey, MCC & ICF Global President-Elect, will be the panel guide for the event. Please join us Tuesday evening, February 1, and celebrate the power of professional coaching with us as a warm up for your own festivities during International Coaching Week.
