About Lisa Nitze
Lisa has 35 years experience leading organizations and initiatives working with government, corporations, foundations, nonprofits and educational institutions to develop and implement strategies for building sustainable social systems change and for maximizing social impact. She currently serves as V.P., Marketing, Investment, Community Partnerships at Nitze-Stagen an integrated commercial real estate investment and property management company in Seattle. Nitze-Stagen invests in and manages historic properties, including the iconic Starbucks Center, and is committed to placemaking, community-building and having the built environment contribute to thriving communities. Lisa is leading Nitze-Stagen work with the City and its neighborhoods on the critical issue of URMs and with its impact investors on Opportunity Zone acquisitions. Most recently, Lisa was CEO of Social Venture Partners Seattle responsible for engaging and educating over 500 philanthropists making pooled investments in social enterprises and collective impact initiatives. As Managing Director of Mission Measurement LLC, Lisa worked with leading organizations in many sectors to advise them on measurement, evaluation and reporting of social impact. She has launched statewide cross-sector partnerships for economic development in New Jersey and Maryland, and a national cross-sector partnership for the restoration of Ellis Island.
Lisa was former CEO of the U.S. Social Enterprise Alliance and a Speaker Specialist for the U.S. State Department on social entrepreneurship. As V.P. Global Engagement for Ashoka, Lisa worked with corporations, foundations and philanthropists to secure investment in social enterprises around the world. Lisa serves on the Boards of Seattle SODO Business & Industry Assn., Historic Seattle, KUOW Public Radio, International Coaching Federation, Weld and Ion.
