COACHES CARE MISSION STATEMENT

Coaches Care is a community service that deploys ICF professional coaches to strengthen and support leaders who create solutions to global issues around Climate Emergency, Healthy Communities, and Human Trafficking. Coaching is a transformative resource, proven to amplify and accelerate learning and forward action so that leader effectiveness grows and sustains.

INITIATIVES

● Climate Emergency - Serious and urgent problems in water and food supply and overall community viability to sustain human life that are a result of human activity increasing the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and disrupting our natural ecosystem.

● Healthy Communities - Community Health is a term used to describe the state of health and how easy or difficult it is to be healthy where people live, learn, work and play. Issues range from homelessness, to poverty, to mental illness, to healthcare access, to education and criminal justice. Leaders in these initiatives are finding and deploying integrated solutions so the many intersections with community population are well coordinated and effectively use scarce resources.

● Human Trafficking - Human trafficking is the trade of humans for the purpose of forced labour, sexual slavery, or commercial exploitation for the trafficker or others. This may encompass providing a spouse in the context of forced marriage, or the extraction of organs or tissues, including for surrogacy and ova removal. The problems being addressed arise from different entry points besides the direct individuals who are victims to include those who perpetuate the trade through purchase, attracting purchasers, abducting the human victims and community leaders and law enforcement who erroneously punish victims.
